hues of blues

One of my favorite colors with many different feelings attached to it. Light blue, dark blue, sky blue, navy blue... all the same but also entirely opposite. You can feel blue and filled with sadness, or look up at the blue sky with an open mind. You can see light blue and think of new life, or see a dark blue and think of a terrifying ocean. Or maybe even see a gorgeous, never-ending ocean.  The possibilities with this color are endless. It is open to interpretation and that is such a beautiful thing. Two people can look at the same exact thing or color, yet think and make connections that are totally independant from each others. How crazy is that?? No two people think exactly alike and that is compelling. SO weird and so mind-blowing !!! I love thinking about it.  Everyone has their very own view of the world whether they choose to share it or not. What the world needs is more open mindedness and less judgment. Humans are SO incredible and more thoughts need to be shared !!! Int

more than just a dream

saturday night.  One time my friends and I went to a Fitz and The Tantrums concert where we danced and jumped around until our feet felt like they were just about to fall off. The experience was an 11/10.  We then spontaneously decided to go to formal 15 minutes before it started. It was very entertaining and full of bad dancing to say the least ... I am someone who forgets to go with the flow a lot of the time. I miss so many opportunities by not being spontaneous.  I am first to say this is something I need to work on. All of saturday's plans were last minute and brought me such a great time. Fitz and The Tantrums were phenomenal and seeing them with friends made the experience so much better! so much love for my gals and this night<3

a different look

I like the word "strong." It can be used in many ways and implied in different forms.  Being called strong in either physical or emotional matters is empowering. "Strong" demonstrates the ability to endure. Others recognize this ability in you before you can even recognize it yourself. That is powerful. Each person is strong in their own way, but it is special when the aspect stands out. Strength comes from within. It is not a quality one can attain overnight. It is a buildup of endurance, training, and even confidence. I am thankful to those who have called me strong, or courageous, or brilliant, or kind. These qualities are more important to me than looks will ever be! In my ideal world we would know people for the kindness of their hearts rather than just looks. The world would be aware of its inhabitants based on their inspiring amount of strength and humbleness. I look up to countless ordinary people in my life for their strength, and I wish the rest

all about the small moments

2017. wooow. I wrote the year as "2014" on an assignment about three weeks ago so this is insaaane. This year is definitely going to be eventful, thats for sure. But I am beyond excited for all of the events that this year brings, both good and bad. Out of everything coming my way this year, its the small stuff that gets me most excited. I am excited to go back to school and see all my friends and go to softball practice and get in trouble for laughing too loud. Also to have my CLC and go to art class and have late starts on Wednesdays. I miss it. ALL of it. These moments excite me and make me happy. Although this break was much needed and very refreshing, I am happy with the thought that school will be starting on Tuesday. I'll see my friends and laugh so hard at dumb things that I'll start to cry. I'll learn more than I know as I am writing this and experience new things. I probably still wont understand geometry and I'll become anxious when I have to t
